Is Catapult K12 a web-based CMS?
Yes it is a web based CMS hosted on our servers with automatic updating. Updated versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer are supported.
Can I allow multiple people to have access to updating content?
Yes. Catapult K12 is highly configurable. Multiple stakeholders can be working on different parts of the website at the same time. Catapult K12 is has a flexible delegation system.
How much control do I have over the template?
Depending on your User Level, you have the ability to manipulate images within the template. This is recommended for advanced users.
Can I add and delete pages?
Yes. You simply click the "Add Page" or "Delete Page" and Catapult K12 will automatically update the navigation on all pages. We also have a drag and drop page-reordering system.
Can I attach images?
Yes. By default, images are automatically re-sized and optimized to fit within the content area of your web design.
Can I attach documents?
Yes. We recommend that our clients use PDF, but we also support the following file extensions: .TXT, .RTF, and .DOC.
Can I link to other web pages or other websites?
Yes. We have a point-and-click system for linking to pages within your own website or you can simply copy and paste the URL of your favorite website into our text editors.
Do you offer secure FTP?
Yes. Addressing security needs has been a focus since the beginning.
Do I have to host my site with you?
Yes....we host all software and all content on our servers.
What if I no longer want to use your service?
Once on your web server, your website exists in a static HMTL format, not dynamically delivered from a database. This means the website is very search engine friendly and you can walk away from our service with a website that can be updated in a complex HTML editor, such as Front Page® or Dreamweaver®.
Your website will be constructed with a non-proprietary database. Most website providers choose to use a proprietary database that is transferable from one vendor to another only by reconstructing the website structure at enormous expense. You own the DNA-designed website and may take it intact to another vendor at any time.
